2) Plans advance for green hydrogen project in Suffolk
RWE and Haltermann Carless have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a green hydrogen plant in Harwich. The project aims to support the decarbonisation of local and national industries, including the aviation sector. The location is close to an existing industrial cluster and the project could help attract further green investment, which would create more jobs and and benefit the regional economy. 4) Two offshore windfarm operators gain joint development consent
Norfolk’s renewable energy sector is set to benefit after the Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon wind farms received planning consent for further extension. In a first, the operators of the two sites made a joint bid for the projects so as to “maximise local benefits and minimise disruption”. 5) Cambridge Wide Open Day (CWOD) 2024 announced

6) New Green Futures Fellowships programme 2024
The Royal Academy of Engineering announced that its £150m Green Future Fellowships programme will open in the summer of 2024. Around 10 researchers a year (up to 50 in total) will receive approximately £3m a year each along with support for research at all stages of development. The programme will be open to applicants from universities and eligible businesses in the UK and around the world. 7) New stage school for Norfolk
The 123-year-old Gorleston Pavilion Theatre will soon be home to a new stage school for young people (aged 4-18). The weekly lessons will help them develop the skills needed for careers in the arts, which are relevant both in theatre craft and other sectors.
